How much do I tip hotel staff, dive center staff or crew?

Our advice:

In Egypt, tipping is customary. Of course every customer is free to do so, but this is seen here as an expression of appreciation by the customer for the efforts and services of the staff
At Nemo Dive Club & Hotel about 45 people work in the hotel, on the boat and in the dive center.
Some you see every day, others work behind the scenes. All the staff at Nemo are committed daily to providing each guest with the best possible service and hope that this commitment is rewarded. They are certainly satisfied with a “thank you” or a pat on the back, but a small financial compensation is gladly accepted.
So are you satisfied with their services we are happy to give as a guideline:

• 5 euros per day per guest.All tips received are divided equally among all hotel or boat staff.

If you are satisfied with the service of our staff, a tip is a nice thank you.
We provide 2 envelopes in your room 2 days before departure:

• 1 for crew and dive center staff (you can give this to the boat captain or Mostafa)
• 1 for hotel staff. (There is a tip box at the reception desk)
