Minimum age:
- from 12 years
About the course
Enriched air, also known as Nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than normal air. Less nitrogen breathing allows you to enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular SDI Specialty course.

Peak Performance Buoyancy
Requirements:
- SDI (Junior) Open Water (or other entry-level qualifying certification)
Minimum age:
- 12 years or older
About the course
Excellent buoyancy control is what typifies an experienced diver. You’ve probably seen them underwater. They float effortlessly, consuming less air and rising, descending or hovering almost as if in thought. They view aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. You, too, can achieve this. The SDI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course improves your trim skills learned as a new diver and takes them to the next level.
SDI (Junior) Open Water or above who are at least 12 years old may participate in the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.
Underwater Navigation Speciality
SDI Underwater Navigator
If you don’t know how to use a compass or natural landmarks, you can quickly become disoriented underwater.
Learn how to easily find your way back to the boat or shore without having to return to the surface.
You therefore avoid long, tiring swimming trips.
Practice using a compass on the surface and then apply your skills underwater during three dives. Learn how to estimate distances, follow natural directions and practice finding your way back to the boat or shore.
- Prerequisites: SDI (Junior) Open Water (or eligible entry-level certification).
- Total time required: 2-3 days
- Minimum age: 12 years or older
About the course
Become the diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you are going. The SDI Underwater Navigator course refines your observation skills and teaches you to use your compass more accurately underwater. If you like challenges with great rewards, then take this course and have fun finding your way.
If you are an SDI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enroll in the SDI Underwater Navigator Specialty course.
